Final: Photo Gallery

For my photo gallery final I decided to do a photo story!  My story is called, "The World of Pure Imagination."  It's a story about two bored little girls who have an adventure, but really they're just imagining it.  I used a lot of different photo techniques to do this, such as the rule of thirds.  One of the main challenges was the lighting since it was outside.  All of these photos were taken in my backyard.

This is called, "I'm bored."  It uses rule of          thirds because the subject is on one third of it.
This one is called, "I'm bored too/two." It also uses rule of thirds for the same reason as above.

"Why are we bored?" It shows leading lines since the bricks on the wall are lines leading to the two girls.

"Where should we go?" It shows balance because the two of them equally fill up sides of the frame.

"Transformation." It shows good background because of the forest and mountains behind them.

"This is fun!"  It shows contrast in colors because of the dresses against the grass.  It also shows candid photography because they're laughing for real.  It's not fake.  It was hard to make them laugh.

"What is that?" It shows balance again because they equally fill up sides of the frame.

"I'm hungry!"  It shows rule of thirds.

"Anyone home?" It shows lighting because you can see into the "castle."

"Let me in!" It shows rule of thirds with the little girls.

" We gonna get you!"  It shows color contrast because of the bright dresses of the girls and the skin of the dragon.

"We got you!" Rule of thirds.

  "Back to reality." Leading lines.

Project: Photo Manipulation

 Before
After
I call this picture, "The Skies Couldn't be Bluer."  (because it's fake. :)  For this photo I just added a little more green to the trees and a little more blue to the sky.  It really makes it look cooler, but not enough to look fake.

 Before
After
I call this, "#beingshowupbyatoddler."  I copied her into that position, and covered up the spot with copies from other parts of the photo that you can kind of see.  It's not the best photo, but I had fun making it.

                        +                                       =

This one was probably my favorite.  I call it, "Nobody saw me in 'Thor, The Dark World'"?  I copied my upper body from the top picture and pasted it smaller in Thor's picture, so it looks like I photo bombed his movie.  This was my favorite project, and I'm going to just edit photos like that for fun!

Project: Candid Photography

This is called, "A Hard-Working Mom."  I took this in my kitchen while my mom was mopping the floor.  This was taken seconds before my discovery.  It's candid photography because I took it without her knowing.

This is called, "Blowing of Steam."  I took this of my sister while she was playing the piano.  It's candid photography because I took it when she didn't see me.  I was like a ninja.

This is called, "I Got to Sit Down Now."  I took it of my brother when he was sitting in my little sister's seat and relaxing.  It's candid photography because I took this while he was distracted, and didn't see me.

None of them knew what hit them.

Project: Still Life and Movement

This is called, "Isn't it Spring Yet?"  I took it in my backyard when it snowed after the flowers bloomed.  It's a still life photo because it's... still life.

This is called, "Super Speed."  I took it in my backyard while my sister was running down a hill.  It shows movement because you can see the blurriness that shows she's moving.

This is called, "Be Free."  I took it, once again, in my backyard.  It shows movement, but it's not blurry.
